Event Planning Beyond Logistics: ​

Who needs to be where and when? What needs to be where and how? Coordinating the logistics of an event and ensuring these details go smooth either make or break and event - right? 

Yes and no. We first need to understand, what is the nature of the event? If the objective is social such as a celebration, client appreciation, award or recognition event then yes, this is a good example where logistics play a key factor into determining the level of success. However, I specialize in events that require planning beyond logistics to be considered a success.
When it comes to events that generate buzz, fundraising, awareness, and business opportunities the logistics become only a segment of the planning and execution process.  Objectives and measurements of success for revenue driven events go beyond the importance of making sure the audio is set up, what time meals are served, who is responsible for setup/tear down, all proper permits are acquired etc... The full event cycle to maximize ROI results involve: Strategy, Logistics, Networking/Outreach, Nurture, Sales/ROI, and Metrics.
